SQUANTO
And the Miracle of Thanksgiving
By
Eric Metaxas, illustrated by Shannon Stirnweis
The true miracle of Thanksgiving.
God uses some of the most surprising people and events to accomplish His plans. So it was with a lonely Patuxet brave and a struggling band of Pilgrims. At twelve years old, Squanto was captured from his village in America and sold into slavery in Spain. Later rescued by a group of Spanish monks who taught him about God, Squanto ultimately made his way back to his homeland.
Sadly, Squanto arrived to find his village greatly changed. But God had plans for Squanto. God delivered a Thanksgiving miracle - an English-speaking Indian living in the exact place where the Pilgrims had landed in this strange new world.
Discover the actual hero of Thanksgiving - neither white nor Indian, but God Himself.
